Taking buses to various attractions in Zhangjiajie is very convenient, and payment is straightforward. The main methods are:
Cash Payment
Buses accept cash. Just make sure to have exact change ready, as buses do not provide change. Note that tickets must be purchased with Chinese yuan (RMB).
Mobile Payment
Alipay, WeChat Pay, and UnionPay QuickPass are accepted. Download the Alipay, WeChat Pay, or UnionPay QuickPass app on your phone, link it to a bank card (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), tap the “Travel” feature, select your city, verify your identity, and scan the QR code provided.
Public Transport Card
For extended stays in Zhangjiajie, visit a bus company service center with your passport to obtain a public transport card. Simply tap the card when boarding buses for convenient travel.
