Tianmen Mountain Temple Introduction


Tianmen Mountain Temple is located on Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province. This temple was first built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and at an altitude of more than 1,300 meters (equivalent to 4,265 feet), it is surrounded by clouds and mist all year round, and is known as the “No. 1 Divine Mountain in the Western Hunan Region”.

The most shocking thing about Tianmen Mountain Temple is its location. If you want to go up, you have to take the cable car, or you can climb the 999 steps, the temple is built on the edge of the cliff, and when you stand on the platform in front of the temple, you will always be afraid to speak out loud for fear of scaring the heavenly deities.
