Shanlin Youjing Trail/Secluded Cedar Trail

The Shanlin Youjing Trail is located in the core scenic area of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, with a total length of 2.5 kilometers. It is one of the most complete surviving primitive Metasequoia communities in the world. There are over 3000 water spruce trees on both sides of the trail, with an average height of 45 meters (about 15 floors) and a tree age of over 200 years, forming a green tunnel that covers the sky and the sun.

According to data testing, the peak concentration of negative ions in the air of Shanlin Youjing Trail is 38000/cm ³, which is 120 times higher than that of the urban area. It can be said to be a healing field for natural respiration. From 7am to 9am, sunlight forms a Tyndall effect beam here, which can be easily captured with a mobile phone. The tree root observation platform here can observe the network of plate-like roots up close, and the maximum root extension area can reach 40 square meters.
