Welcoming Arhats (Luohan Yingbin)

Introduction to Lohan Yingbin

Welcoming Arhats (Luohan Yingbin) Guests is located in the Jinbian Stream (Golden Whip Gorge) of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
Next to the Jinbian Stream (Golden Whip Gorge), there are five soaring 100-meter-high, like a parade of monks welcoming the guests, which is the magical ‘Lohan Welcoming Guests’. These are natural sculptures formed from quartz sandstone three hundred and eighty million years ago, with the highest peak reaching 263 metres, a figure equivalent to the height of an 80-storey building.

On a clear day, the sunlight penetrates the cracks in the rock, creating unique geometric light patterns; if you happen to be here after a rainy day, you’ll be greeted by the beauty of the misty clouds. The texture of the rock formation on the far right looks like a smiley face, and if you’re a frequent Instagrammer, you’ll be familiar with it as it’s been in the top Instagram spot with 50k+ tags a lot.

Tips for visiting the Lohan Welcome Spot:
